It's been a great start of the summer here in Finland. We've had hardly any snow and only a little bit of thunder and hail storms - mostly it's been warm and sunny!
For some people summer means lying on the beach or chilling out at your summer cabin. But for a bunch of Finnish younglings it means starting your military service.
In Finland, we have this thing called mandatory military service. With a population of only 5.5 million people and a ground border with Russia of 1289 km (800 miles), there is a need for proper defence forces. All men are required to serve in the Defence Forces, and women are able to volunteer for service.
We reminisced a bit about our army years, and decided to share our best stories with the whole wide world. You can find our first story here, and we will publish more stories during the summer, always on Fridays.
But we don't want this letter to be just army stuff, so you can also find the results of the Midsummer Bingo, more information about our very own music festival Lekafest, and we're finally launching our long-awaited L4 combat trousers!
Like always, you can also find our Regular Pig offer at the end of the newsletter, so make sure to read until the end!
